Angel's Ink

Angel's Ink - Jocelynn Drake Great new series.

Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls

Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls - David Sedaris A solid book from Sedaris. Still doesn't top ""Me Talk Pretty One Day"" but well worth the listen (which is the only way to read Sedaris in my opinion.)

The Beekeeper's Lament: How One Man and Half a Billion Honey Bees Help Feed America

The Beekeeper's Lament: How One Man and Half a Billion Honey Bees Help Feed America - Hannah Nordhaus Fascinating and scary.

The Privilege of the Sword

The Privilege of the Sword - Ellen Kushner Narration by Kushner herself (and additional cast) is 5 stars all the way. Definitely naming on reading the other Riverside books now.

The Serpent's Shadow

The Serpent's Shadow - Mercedes Lackey This series and the Five Hundred Kingdom series are among my total comfort reading series. Easy, fun and although not her best work, quite enjoyable.

Peter Pan

Peter Pan - J.M. Barrie, Michael Hague First time I've read the original. It's wonderful! FYI to parents though, there are a few problematic bits (for example the ""redskins"") but don't let that stop you. Wonderful story and better than the Disney version. Tim Curry at narrator was also awesome (as he always is).

World in the Balance: The Historic Quest for an Absolute System of Measurement

World in the Balance: The Historic Quest for an Absolute System of Measurement - Robert P. Crease Really 3.5. Some (most?) of the book was top notch but there was one really meh part. Very interesting other than that section though.

The Jack Vance Treasury

The Jack Vance Treasury - George R.R. Martin, Terry Dowling, Jonathan Strahan, Jack Vance Wonderful collection of classic Vance works. It was my first exposure to him and I'll be tracking more down.

The Phoenix Prince (Royal Blood)

The Phoenix Prince (Royal Blood) - Kristen Gupton Definitely would have benefited from another draft or two with a good editor. It's a decent story but it needed someone to weed out the old tropes like ""emerald eyes"" and whatnot.

Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir

Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir - Jenny Lawson Listened again and still think it's freakin' hilarious/awesome.

Midnight Blue-Light Special

Midnight Blue-Light Special - Seanan McGuire I utterly adore these books. The Incryptid books (and short stories) are so much fun!

Consider the Fork: How Technology Transforms the Way We Cook and Eat

Consider the Fork: How Technology Transforms the Way We Cook and Eat - Bee Wilson Reminded me of Bryson's ""At Home"" albeit with a narrower focus.

The Complete Stories of Sherlock Holmes, Volume 1

The Complete Stories of Sherlock Holmes, Volume 1 - Charlton Griffin, Arthur Conan Doyle It was lovely to revisit Holmes and find that I enjoy these just as much as I did when I was a kid. Great fun and good narrator.

Oath of Swords

Oath of Swords - David Weber This might be my favorite Weber series and the audio book narrator kicks ass!

Siege and Storm

Siege and Storm - Leigh Bardugo I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first. In many ways, it reminded me of Book 2 of the Hunger Games. In both cases, book 2 is very dark and sometimes hard to take. It was quite grim at times. The end had a twist I really wasn't expecting and I'm looking forward to book 3. I think I'd find it hard to reread this one but that will ultimately depend on how it all turns out.

Fortune's Pawn

Fortune's Pawn - Rachel Bach Solid space opera. I'm definitely invested enough in the very kick ass heroine to keep reading the series.
